Women's top to match this men's doublet [link] . Made from black velveteen, gold colored jaquard, and fabric store trim, with McCall's 4696. About 96 gold colored eyelets were used to form the side, back, shoulder, and sleeve closures. Shoulders, back and sleeves tied with black satin ribbon; side seams tied with elastic, making the garment adjustable. The lower front edge forms a graceful point. Completed in about one week. No attempt at historical accuracy here, just fun with velveteen and eyelets.

Self-modeled, photography by Frank. I may change the picture file for this deviation, since I'm not thrilled with the lighting in these shots. Also, kindly ignore the gold starred tank top under the bodice.

Awesome. You might get along well with my friend Tracy. She likes making medieval dresses too.

Maybe. I think of sewing as combining the best parts of legos and shopping. Can I interest you in buying a hat?

What kind of hat is it? I'm not in the market for a hat, but I'll consider it.

It is the 'hat' portion of my previous deviation "fancy doublet and hat." I also make a less over-sized version.

It's a nice hat, but I can't see myself wearing it
