Artist's Comments
With a broken camera and nothing to do, I'm expanding my gallery to include my recent textile exploits.
This doublet and hat are made from black velveteen from Simplicity pattern #4059. I replaced the back/side seams with gold colored eyelets and lacing, which makes the item both adjustable and beautiful (I am very pleased with the result). Peplumes, shoulder flanges, and hat are trimmed with metallic red and gold braid flat to the edges. Pants and chimese are store-bought (though I hope to finish a men's shirt by next season). Made for and modeled by Frank. I also recently made a matching women's top for myself. You can find it here [link] . |

But hopefully I'll land a job in the nearish future, and then I'll let you know!
